i apologize for my absence.  it’s been a busy month for our family.

i’m pregnant!  we’re due august 31st.  my husband and i are over the moon about this.  i’m thrilled to finally be able to share the news here.

i’ve been keeping another blog, all about pregnancy, at http://dontworrybaby.wordpress.com.  i update there almost everyday.  this blog might be on hiatus for a while.  between working and throwing up i haven’t had much time to focus on artwork.

and got Auggie on a crazy whim.

i’ve been crocheting a great deal and working crazy hours.  it’s been fun (i love my job), but not so conducive to blogging regularly.  as soon as the retail nightmare that is christmas is over, i’m sure i’ll be back in top form.

i got my first freelance illustration job in bloomington!  a local woman is adopting two brothers from ethiopia, ages 2 and 4.  they do not speak any english.  she wants me to make cards with pictures they can point to when they want/need something.  there will be a total of 5 cards:  food/drink, emotions, ailments, bedroom and bathroom.
